Yes.  FreshBelt is designed to retrofit onto any existing checkout belt system – old or new.

You can use any disinfectant solution through the system that is properly diluted to the manufacturers specs.

On average, FreshBelt uses half a bottle of disinfectant every 12-14 hours.

Yes, we recommend removing the chamois every night and soaking it in a warm bucket of water. Do not use soap or other chemical cleaners. 

You do not need to turn the system off manually.  There is a motion sensor built into FreshBelt that automatically turns off when it detects no motion in front of it for 5 minutes.

The chamois is made of the same material found in Zamboni chamois’ and will last for a very long time. Your chamois will likely need replacing due to it be stained or soiled.

Check to make sure there is liquid in the disinfectant bottle. Press the “prime” button for 3 seconds.  This activates the pump and will temporarily send more disinfectant solution to the chamois.

You may have pressed the “prime” button too long.  Run the belt with the system in the off position until it drys while wiping it with a paper towel.
